Antiga, The Best Bakery In Ponte de Lima
For almost 18 years we would go to church on Sundays and from there most of the time we would head to Panera Bread!
We used just to looooove Panera bread….and ouur son had his fare share of sink cookies.
Then one day we could no longer go.
The 2020 pandemic came without warning to change our lifes and for our family it was a blessing.
We stopped eating crap and started jumping jacks!
Our sunday trips to Panera came to a halt and we exchanged them for walks on the near by trails.
Why am I talking about Panera Bread you may ask:
Well we stayed away from bread in all shape or form including the aforementioned.
That until we came to visit Portugal. Here we found absolutely delicious bread everywhere we went, and Ponte de Lima was not different from other towns.
Here come A Antiga: dangerously close to our house Antiga has become our Sunday tradition. I think we already tried every product they make/sale and I have to say this place is fantastic!
My absolut favorite is Pau de Deus ( God;s bread ): a brioche dough roll topped with a sticky, shredded coconut topping, and our son is between their brownies and their cinnamon rolls!.
I highly advise if you are visiting us please go there. You will not regret it!
Bye for now
