Feiras Novas In Ponte De Lima

I’ve never seen so many people gathered in one place like in the Feiras Novas in Ponte de Lima.
I think the whole summer runs around this event in the middle of September.
On their website, they have a clock that counts the days, hours, minutes and seconds for the week long party to start!
The town starts preparing for a hordes of turist and locals like a month in advance, blocking strets, to prevent cars park everywhere and setting up all the ilumination that will decore the event. For six days, non stopping music, parades, dancing fireworks and food fill the air there is no way to escape from it!
Not that you want to escape really…. Feiras Novas are so much fun that you really wait the whole year to dance again!
